Welcome in our parishes in the Zaanstreek!
We are Roman Catholic parishes with a long history in this area of industry and agriculture. Being in the close vicinity of several large tourist attractions, we realize that there are also many Catholic tourists passing by our churches. Hence this special welcome to you!
The St. Bonifatius church and the H. Maria Magdalena church are both beautiful neo-gothic churches from just before or around the year 1900. The H. Odulphus church in Assendelft is of a somewhat unique style, neo-romanesque, similar to the well-known St. Nicolas Basilica in Amsterdam, since it has the same architect, but more simple.
All three churches are a surprise to visitors once they enter. All three churches are also home to active communities striving to live from the Sacraments and the other riches our Lord grants to us through Scripture and Tradition.
